Ways to release some stress – Maggie

Hey guys, Maggie here ◡̈ first off, I just wanted to say thank you so much for the love I got on my last blog post, “I’m just struggling”

it was so nice to hear from other people that I’m not alone in what I was/am feeling. Mental health is never an easy subject to talk about so thank you ◡̈

Today I wanted to talk about some ways to release some stress, these are some things that I’m have been doing a lot of in the last two weeks to help me just feel a little better and take some stress away. It’s so important to take a step back and try to help yourself when your feeling down about anything. It’s never good to bottle things up and not deal with it, it’s just going to hurt you even more. So let’s get into it:

  1. Listen to your favorite music!

Im always listening to music, but lately I’ve started playing worship music when I’m feeling a it down on life and it has really helped me! Now, I know worship music isn’t for everyone but if you just start blasting your favorite music and dancing or singing along weather your good at it or not, I promise you, it will help you start feeling so much better!

2. Cook/order your favorite meal!

sometimes there is nothing better than to treat yourself to your favorite meal but if you’re someone who wants some type of occasion to do it, this is kind of perfect lol. Because hear me out, you’re feeling down about life or something specific, so what a better way to help yourself feel better than by treating yourself to your favorite thing whether that be coffee, a snack or a meal! Go get it babe!

3. Take a relaxing bath!

picture this, your in a bath with a ton of bubbles, surrounded by candles and the lights are off so you only have the light from candles and the amazing scents, either playing some music or watching your favorite show, just relaxing. Do I have to say more or are you totally convinced because just typing this, I want to have this experience right now.
shop some of my favorite relaxing bath essentials on my Amazon store right now!

4. Get creative!

if you know me, you know I’m a pretty creative person so a lot of times I find myself doing something artsy, whether it’s painting, drawing, doing my makeup, making some graphics for blogging, literally anything that allows me to be creative in some ways, I love doing it.

5. write out your feelings!

sometimes I think it’s funny that I have a blog because I used to hate writing but ever since I started blogging on here, I find myself writing a lot now. I’ve started a prayer journal so I can just talk to God, I’ve been just writing random things I’m feeling in a notebook, or I will pull out a sketch book and just write out a quote or a poem I’m loving at the moment.

6. Cry it out.

If you know, you know. Sometime the best thing you need is just a simple cry sesh

7. Read

if you don’t like to read, his probably won’t help you in the destressing category but it’s something I have found a new love in recently. Pick up your favorite book whether it’s a self help book or something completely unrelated and maybe read a few chapters, I promise you it’ll help take your mind off of things for a while.

I wish I could say that any of these things you do will magically solve all of your problems, but unfortunately that’s just not how life works, but these are stuff that can help clear your mind for a bit anyway and help you focus on helping yourself in the long run. I love you guys!!! I hope this helps and I hope you have a lovely day 🤍🖤
